About Us

Wyoming Valley Basketball Officials Association. is a non-profit entity which was created to handle the business affairs of the Wyoming Valley Chapter of PIAA Basketball Officials. This Association is governed by a Twelve member Board of Directors, which includes Eight elected Board Members, and two permanent positions of the Rules Interpreter and associate Rules Interpreter. The Board of Directors and the Membership of the Wyoming Valley Chapter are guided by the Bylaws of the Chapter, which provide regulations that dictate responsibilities and jurisdiction for the entire Membership. The goal of the board of directors is to encourage the growth of the chapter and its membership. It is strongly believed that our Membership of now close to 80 Officials have the intellect, commitment and purpose to make it the best Chapter possible. The Wyoming Valley Chapter of PIAA Basketball Officials primarily serves Northeastern PA, including the Wyoming Valley Conference, Public and Parochial Elementary Schools, as well as AAU and Private Leagues throughout the region. All Members of the Wyoming Valley Chapter Chapter are certified Officials under the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, the governing body of High School Sports in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
